Soft Tissue Therapy Techniques

Our Chiropractors will use soft tissue tecniques in your treatment to produce the best results for your treatment and health.

Soft tissue therapy is practiced by our chiropractors to manipulate and treat soft tissue issues including muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Our chiropractors will assess your body and functional movements to identify areas of tension or dysfunction, which require soft tissue therapy.

What are the different types of soft tissue therapy?

  1. Trigger Point Therapy: Pressure is provided to identified muscular trigger points to alleviate pain.

  2. Active Release Technique (ART): A technique using movement-based tissue therapy to manipulate the tissue. Pressure is placed on the tissue in a shortened position, while the patient moves through a range to lengthen the tissue.

  3. Graston/ IASTT: Utilising specialized instruments to break up scar tissue, adhesions or fascial restrictions.

  4. Myofascial Release: Targets the fascia, which surrounds and connects our entire musculoskeletal system. To release adhesions and improve tissue flexibility in fascial lines.
